Before I even knew what a county was, I knew Tuolumne County was special.

I’ve been skiing at Dodge Ridge since I was three years old. Took my first backpacking trip to Bear Lake out of Crabtree Trailhead when I was five. I spent my youth (as well as my adult life) exploring hundreds of miles of the Stanislaus National Forest, not because someone told me to, but because I couldn’t stay away.

Summers were spent at Twain Harte Lake. And when I got a little older, I was off playing with my friends tromping through Turnback Creek behind my grandpa’s cabin, convinced we were going to find the lost gold of the Confidence Mine.

I was born in the Bay Area but it's this county that raised me.

My grandfather helped pave Highway 108. His friend Paul Eby, the original owner of Twain Harte Lumber, used to let my brother and me drive forklifts around the yard… just for fun! That’s the kind of community this is.

All of my most precious memories, with family, friends, and on my own, trace right back here to District 3. So when the time came to make this my permanent home, I didn’t think twice. Now I live in Confidence, I work in Twain Harte, and I couldn’t image it any other way.

This isn’t just where I live. It’s who I am, and I’d be honored to serve this community
